Autumn/Fall Beauty Wishlist!

L to R clockwise: Mac Glamour Daze Nail Lacquer 'Everything that Glitters', Korres Lip Butter 'Plum', Mac Glamour Daze Nail Lacquer 'Endless Night', NARS Blush 'Sin'.

Hi Everyone!
Happy Halloween! Today I wanted to share with you a small wishlist I currently have for Autumn/Fall. I have been loving plum, purple and burgundy colours and so when I saw the new Mac holiday collection I fell in love with their nail polishes. I also love their nude colour. After seeing Estee from EssieButton rave about the NARS Sin blush, I have been really obsessing over it. It looks like a beautiful colour for this time of year, and after owning one NARS blush, I can definitely say they are worth the money. I also been loving my Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine, and so am after the plum version to add more colour to my lips.

Thank you for reading and I hope you are having a good Halloween!
Let me know what your current beauty wishlist is as I loving getting new ideas.

A Midnight Sky NOTD!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you are all well. Today I wanted to quickly share with you my recent NOTD.
I used the 17 Lasting Fix nail polish in Midnight Sapphire and then on my ring fingers I used the 17 Nail Xtras glitter top coat. I thought it was a really pretty combination as the glitter top coat has turquoise, silver and gold glitters, so it goes really well the dark navy nail polish.
It also reminds me of a midnight sky, with the glitters being the stars.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this quick NOTD!

What's In My Travel Make Up Bag!

Hi Everyone!
So over the last few days my family and I were in London and so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to show you what make up I took to go away.
I got the make up bag as I gift for my birthday a few years ago so I don't actually know where it is from sorry.
For my face, I brought a mini size of the Smashbox Photo Finish primer, my sample of the YSL Touche Eclat and my Bobbi Brown Corrector which I use with my Collection Lasting Perfection concealer. I bought my usual Maybelline powder, and for blushes I took my NARS in 'Deep Throat', Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in 'Exposed' and my Clinique in 'Iced Lotus'. I also took my Mac Extra Dimension highlighter in 'Whisper of Gilt' for the evening.
I took my mini Benefit Badgal lash mascara and my Miss Sporty brow gel.
For the lips I took my Korres Lip Balm, Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in 'Boy' and the Benefit Cha Cha Tint free from InStyle.
For the brushes, I put them into the brush holder you get when you purchase the Real Techniques Core Collection. From L to R, I took my RT Buffing brush, my Mac 217, my RT Contour Brush, my RT Powder brush and my Sigma F40.

Of course I don't take the same make up when I go away, but these items I have been really enjoying lately.

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful.
Let me know what's in your travel make up bag!
Thank you for reading and I hope you all have a great week.

Review: L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess Mascara

Hi Everyone!
I recently bought the new L'Oreal Volume Million Lashes Excess in 'Noir Black' and thought it was a good time to do a review.

I bought this from Boots for £10.99 which I do think is a tad expensive for a highstreet brand but I had heard such good things from the original mascara and so hoped this would be just as good.

This is what the L'Oreal website claims about this mascara;

"The brand new anti-clump wiper removes surplus mascara: no overload, no clumps. Our biggest ever Millionizer brush separates lashes for dramatic volume. Finally, opulent volume meets sleek definition!"

So it has quite a lot to live up to. The brush is actully one of the bendy types but to be honest I don't think this makes any difference in the application.
The brush head is actually quite big which isn't what I am used to, so at first I found it quite hard to apply the mascara. However, now that I am more used to the mascara, I find application much easier.
I will now show you before and after pictures so you can see how the mascara looks.
With nothing on my lashes. you can see they are fair and quite sparse.

But with a few coats of the mascara, you can see I have built up quite a lot of volume and length. I would say this mascara is much better at giving a lot of volume so if you just want a lengthening mascara than this may not be for you. I do like how it isn't too clumpy but you have to be careful once you start adding more coats.
I know I haven't done my bottom lashes but that is because on a daily basis I prefer just having thick and long top lashes and then bare bottom lashes.

However, there are a few points about this mascara that I don't like. Firstly is the smell. It has a really strong smell and it is really not nice. Luckily it does go away after a few seconds but it does come as quite a shock when you first open it. Secondly is that you do have to build it up quite a bit to get some length. With one coat, my lashes just have more volume but no length which I find quite frustrating.

Over all I do like this mascara. I find it gives a lot of length and volume once you have built it up. I don't like the smell or the price, but it does do what it claims.

Let me know if you have tried this mascara and what you think of it as I LOVE reading you guys' comments. I hope you found this review helpful and thank you for reading.

Essie Bahama Mama!

Hi Everyone!
Hope you're having a great weekend! Today I wanted to share with you Essie's Bahama Mama.
There is currently a massive buzz about this nail polish, and as we have now into Autumn, I thought it would be the perfect time to wear it. The picture is making it look much more red than it is in really life. It is a beautiful plum colour that looks great with any skintone. I find the formula to be pretty good as well and the nail polish easy to apply.

I would highly recommend this colour if you are looking for a perfect Autumn colour :)

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed this quick NOTD, and let me know if you too love this colour!

My Favourite Autumn/Fall Nail Polishes!

Hi Everyone!
Happy Friday! Hope you're all well. Today I wanted to do a post on my favourite Autumn/Fall nail polishes. These are just my picks for what I will be wearing throughout the colder months. I am really sorry if you can no longer get some of the colours, however I am sure there will be many dupes in replacement.
First up is the 17 Fast Finish nail polish in 'Smokey Marble'. I really love this colour as it is unlike many of the colours I already own. I would describe it has a steel colour with a beautiful blue shimmer running throughout it. The formula is good too; It dries quickly and is pretty opaque.
Next is another 17, this time a Lasting Fix nail polish in 'Midnight Sapphire'. I love this colour. It is a gorgeous deep, royal blue with extremely faint shimmer. Again the formula is pretty good.
I had to include Essie's 'Bahama Mama'. I got this in June after falling instantly in love with it, and now there is also the current buzz on Youtube and blogs about it being the perfect Autumn colour. The camera is actually making it appear much more pink, in really life it has more of a plum tone to it. I love this colour so much as I think it would go with a lot of different skin tones. I really like Essie nail polishes as well as they last a good few days and the brush size is not too big nor too small.
Another one from 17, this time the colour is 'Ruby Gem'. Again the camera is making it appear much more red, in real life it is a deeper colour and not quite so bright. It also has no shimmer to it. I really love this colour as it is perfect if you are a bit unsure about wearing full on bright red and want something a little less 'in your face'. I love wearing this around Christmas time as it is very festive and jolly.
Lastly for 17 nail polishes is a High Gloss one in 'Wicked'. I thought I would include this colour as it is more purple than Essie's Bahama Mama but less pink then Ruby Gem. On the paper it doesn't do much, but in real life it has shimmers of blue and pink and is a really nice deep purple.
Lastly is a colour for those who aren't as keen on such deep and bright colours. This is by Catrice Cosmetics and is in the colour '050 Moulin Rouge Light'. It is a very nice subtle colour which I do think is great all year round. However, for Autumn/Fall I think it is a really beautiful, nude colour.

That wraps up my favourite Autumn/Fall nail polishes. The swatches really don't do any of the colours justice so I do apologize for that, I just wanted you though to have a rough idea of what they're like.
Please tell me what your favourite Autumn/Fall nail polishes are as I am always on the hunt for new colours. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed this post.

Review: YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat Foundation

Hi Everyone!
Today I am going to be doing a full review on the YSL Touche Eclat Foundation.
I got a sample a while ago in BR10 as I had previously got a sample of BR30, but it was too dark for me (I did though do a 'first impressions' click HERE)

I have heard amazing reviews on this foundation, my friend Ellanutellax has it and loves it too, so I was very happy to have the correct shade as I could try it properly.

The YSL website describe this foundation as;

  • "The light of Touche Éclat foundation targets shadowy areas and highlights the contours of the face. With no opaque powders, its perfecting texture evens the complexion and helps conceal your imperfections, while enhancing your skin’s natural beauty.
  • Illuminating foundation. Dimensional radiance. Weightless perfection."
Swatched on my hand is it quite pink based (the photo does wash out this pinkness sorry).
It was really easy to blend into my hand and as you can see, compared to Mac Pro Longwear in NC15 (right), the YSL is a lot lighter and pinker.
I will admit that I did get yet another sample of this foundation on Sunday but this time in B10 as although BR10 does match me, I do believe that the more neutral undertone will suit me even better.

I did wear the foundation at the weekend in BR10 to show you what it was like on the skin.

After moisturising,  you can see I have slight redness on my cheeks and around my nose, and also blemishes on my chin.
Using my Real Techniques Buffing brush, I applied one layer of this foundation, and then built it up in my problem areas.
I think it gives light - medium coverage but it is buildable. I have combination skin and it does give me a slight glow to the skin. It gives such a natural finish and really helps to even out your skintone. It didn't completely cover my blemishes on my chin and forehead which for me is one of the downsides. It was however really easy to blend and does enhance your skin. I wouldn't say it highlights the contours of your face like YSL claim, but it does give your cheekbones a slight glow.
This is what the foundation looks like after I have finished my make up. I think it looks really natural yet offers good coverage. It feels really light on the skin which I also really like.

It lasts about 6-8 hours on me but does make me more oily throughout the day then say Mac's Pro Longwear. I also think it may break me out slightly. I am not 100% certain but this morning I did wake up with a few more spots.
I do really like wearing it though and would highly recommend it.
I think this would suit anywhere between dry and combination skin types.

I really hope you found this review helpful and please let me know if you have tried this foundation and what you think of it.
Thank you so much for reading and you can always make my day by following ;)

* UPDATE: I can safely say that this foundation does not break me out. I have been wearing it for almost a week and my skin hasn't gained any more spots out of the ordinary*

InStyle Magazine Freebie!

Hi Everyone!
Happy Monday! Today I wanted to quickly share with you with free gift you can currently get when you purchase InStyle magazine.
You can get hold of a mini Benefit's Sun Beam, Cha Cha Tint or Benetint, which is amazing.
I decided to go with Cha Cha Tint, which is described as a 'melon' tint. I did use it yesterday and the swatch of it is actually very deceiving. But, I will not tell you too much about it as a full review will be coming very soon.
I got mine last Thursday so they should still have them available. Also, in the magazine is a page which you can rip out and take to your nearest Benefit counter where they will give you a free mini Badgal mascara! It is a super cool deal so I would recommend if you do want to try out some Benefit products that you purchase this.

Thank you for reading and I will see you guys soon :)

A Fashion and Beauty Haul!

 Hi Everyone!
Hope you're all well. Today I wanted to share with you a few beauty and clothing related items which I have picked up over the course of several weeks.
Hope you enjoy!
There was the massive beauty buzz over the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer and this is now my 2nd tube. I don't think it's amazing but it is pretty good for only £4.19. I like to use this over my Bobbi Brown Corrector and I am in the shade '1 Fair'.
I recently started using the No7 Beautiful Skin range and as No7 is currently on 3 for 2, I thought I would grab 3 products. I bought two of the Foaming Cleansers for normal/oily skin and one Cleansing Water, again for normal/oily skin.
All of these products are £9 each but due to there being 3 for 2 and me having various coupons, I purchased these 3 items for only £11.70 which I think is pretty amazing.
Lastly for the beauty items is a product which I have already shown you twice before but thought I would show you for the third and final time; Simple Clear Skin Oil Balancing Moisturiser.
I won't talk too much about this as I have shown you it in my September favourites and I have done a full review on it, click HERE!

Now moving onto clothes!
I got this top from Oasis when they were having a 15% off deal in-store. It is quite sheer and has black stripes with a floral/lace pattern in between. I really love it for Autumn and it is super comfortable to wear.

(Please excuse the picture quality) I also got the blouse from Oasis which I have been obsessed about! Again it is quite sheer and has gold detailing collar tips, I also really like the 2 cut-outs near the collar bone area. It is really soft material, super flattering on and just a really lovely item of clothing.
Lastly are these boots from Forever 21. These were actually my mums that she got last year but donated to me and so I thought I would include them in my haul anyway as they're new to me.
They are black suede ankle boots with good buckles and I really like them as they go with loads of different things and are really comfy.

That is it for my haul, I hope you enjoyed it and found it interesting.
Leave a link down below if you too have done a recent haul.
Thank you so much for reading and I will see you guys next time.
