Korres Lip Butters - Jasmine and Pomegranate!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you all are having a great weekend!
After picking up my first Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine last year, I instantly fell in love with it's smooth and soft texture, and moisturising abilities. I know many people rave about them, and I can see why. They last really well and give your lips a sheer tint of colour, which is so nice if you want a break from wearing heavy lipsticks. I love tinted lip balms as my lips tend to get very dry, especially in colder weather.

As I am pretty much at the end my Jasmine lip butter, I decided to purchase another one, but with more of a hint of colour. I decided to go with Pomegranate, as it looked like it gave a really pretty subtle hint of pink.
On my lips here I have Jasmine. As you can see it doesn't really give my lips too much colour, just a very sheer wash of light pink. However, this has a gorgeous sweet scent of vanilla/cupcake, but it is not at all sickly. It lasts really well and hydrates my lips really well too.
Here I have applied Pomegranate. This colour looks quite bright in the pot and compared to Jasmine it does gives more colour, but it is still quite sheer. It is a really lovely rosy pink, which I think would suit many skin tones. I personally don't think this has much of a smell, but some people may prefer that. Again it is really moisturising and lasts really well.

I also really like the packaging. I know it is not that hygienic, but I love how the colour of the lid represents the colour of the lip balm.
For £7 they are pricey, but I really do think they're worth it. I really want to try the other colours like Mango, as I think that would be perfect for summer!

Let me know if you like the Korres Lip Butters and what colours/flavours you recommend!

Sigma Duo Fibre F50 Brush!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well!
Today I want to talk about the Sigma Duo Fibre brush, which I received for my birthday.
I had been eyeing up several stippling brushes, as although I own and love the Real Techniques one, I still wanted to try one with a bigger brush head for a quicker and lighter application of liquid foundation.
I had heard really good things about the Sigma one, so decided to go ahead and I am so glad I did!
The bristles are so soft and quite flexible, but make applying liquid foundation effortless.
I like to use it with my Max Factor Face Finity foundation as that has quite a runny texture.
It blends the foundation in so nicely, leaving no streaks or patches, to help achieve an 'air-brushed' finish.
As you can see, compared to the Real Techniques Stippling and Buffing brush, both of which I love, the Sigma Stippling Brush is a lot bigger, and not as dense.
It definitely applies foundation to give a lighter coverage, and so if I want more coverage I will use the Buffing brush.

The Sigma Stippling brush also washes really well and hasn't yet shed on me which is a massive bonus.
The only con I can see with this brush is that overtime it may become more and more splayed, which is a shame.

The brush retails for £16.95 from Cocktail Cosmetics, which is a tad pricey especially with delivery costs, but considering the price of many other stippling brushes it really isn't bad.

On the whole I would highly recommend this brush for applying liquid foundation, and any other liquid products like blush. It makes applying foundation so quick and easy, especially as you know you will be left with a beautiful finish.

Let me know if you have tried this brush and what you think of it!

Origins Super Spot Remover!

Hi Everyone,
Happy Friday! I hope you have all had a great week.
Over the last few months, I had heard so many amazing reviews about the Origins Spot Remover, but as so many products haven't worked for my skin, I didn't hold much hope that this would too. However, when my birthday came around, I thought it would be a good opportunity to ask for it, and very kindly my friends gave me it as part of my present!
So I have now being using it for about 2 weeks, and over that time I have seen significant improvement to my skin!

So to quickly summaries what Origins say about this product, they say that it will 'heal, fight and fade' spots and 'instantly help speed healing while anti-spot technology helps visibly correct post blemish darkening'. They also claim that the spot remover will help 'visibly relieve irritating redness'.

So they had quite a lot to live up to, and I am super happy to say I mostly agree with what they claim.

The product is a clear gel, and I like to apply this every evening after I have cleansed and moisturised to areas like my forehead and chin where I have breakouts. I don't put this all over as it basically dries out the area, so I only put this where I have quite significant spots.

As the product dries, wherever you have put it does tingle ever so slightly and tightens, but I personally quite like the feeling.
Over the past 2 weeks, I have noticed that the spots I have heal quicker. The product has also helped to reduce the redness, which is what they claim. I find over a few nights the size visibly reduces, making my skin look overall much clearer.

However, as I said before, I don't 100% agree with what they claim. They claim that the product will help correct the darkening spots can cause, which is what I seriously suffer from - on my skin, once the spots have faded, I am left with a dark area where they have been, which is really annoying as it makes my skin look worse than it actually is.
Unfortunately, this product does not do that for me, but that is not to say it won't for.

On the whole though, I am really impressed with this product. On my forehead especially it has really helped to calm the redness and the size of the breakouts I once had. My chin does still have some spots, but mostly marks from where spots have been.

I am definitely going to continue to use this and purchase this product in the future.
I am on the hunt for a product that will help fade the discolouration left over from the spots, but in the meantime I am loving using the spot remover!

Let me know if you have tried this product and what you think of it!

Benefit Fine One One!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you're all well! Today I wanted to talk to you about the new product from Benefit; Fine One One.
I spotted this whilst on a shopping trip, and was convinced into letting the lady at the counter try it on me. I wasn't expecting much, and wasn't really planning on buying it, but when I saw it in the mirror I thought it looked gorgeous!

So Benefit explain this product as;
"Fine-one-one to the rescue! This sheer brightening cheek & lip color gives your look instant LIFT, SHAPE and POP. Glide on the three shades: pink champagne, sheer watermelon and soft coral"
So when I was first applying this to myself, I was a little dubious of whether I would be left with 3 stripes of colour that look totally unnatural. However, what I love is that the colours are so easy to blend and are actually quite sheer.
As you can see from the pictures, the colours do blend out to be quite sheer, and so leave your cheeks with a super pretty sheen. You can easily build up the intensity if you wish which is also really handy. This product lasts a good length of time as well, and I love how with the packaging you simply twist the dial to roll up more product.

I think the colours are very pretty, especially for spring and summer, and being able to use
them on your lips is really good, especially if you were travelling.

Although at £24.50 this product isn't cheap, I do think it'll be lasting me quite a while. The colours and so gorgeous and really easy to blend in.

I would highly recommend this product if you are looking for a highlighter/blush duo, particularly for the Spring and Summer ahead!
Let me know if you have tried this product and what you think of it!

Mac A Perfect Day Lipstick!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you're well! Today I wanted to talk about a new Mac lipstick of mine which I received from my beautiful friend Ella, who by the way has an amazing blog!
The lipstick is called 'A Perfect Day', which is a light peach/nude colour. I believe it was part of a recent collection called 'Naturally' so hopefully you can still pick this up at a counter.
The finish is an amplified creme, which I have never owned before, however the lipstick is very creamy and moisturising, and applies really easily.
The lipstick is a lovely nude, so perfect for those days when you aren't sure what lipstick to wear as you may have a bright outfit on or are going for a natural look.
It lasts really well, even through eating and drinking, which I always love in a lipstick.

I would really recommend this lipstick if you are looking for a new nude colour!
And please let me know if you have picked this up too and what you think of it!

I hope you enjoyed this review and found it helpful,

Recent Purchases #2

Hi Everyone,
Hope you're all having a great week!
Over the last couple of weeks I have picked up some items which I have really want to share with you. I have also used some of the products several times and so will sum up what I think of them so far.
So the first item is the Origins Spot Remover. I had heard such good things about this product, and so was really excited to see if it would make much difference to my skin. I have been using it for about a week and have seen a good difference in my skin. I find this really reduces spots and also reduces the redness. However, I will do a full review soon so stay tuned for that!
Next is the Benefit Fine One One which is their new blush/highlighter product. I got this on a bit of a whim and have already featured it in my January favourites. It gives a very natural sheen to the skin which I think will be super pretty in Spring/Summer. But as with the Origins, I will do a full review of this product very soon.
I also recently picked up this bracelet from Topshop. I was really drawn to the triangle shapes with the gold and silver. I have been really enjoying wearing this as it goes with so much!
Also from Topshop is this cream knitted jumper. I really loved how it has slight sparkles in the fabric, and lace panels on either side of the collar bone and down the back. It looks really nice with just leggings, and I love how warm and soft it is!
My hunt for Chelsea boots is finally over as I found these black Chelsea boots from River Island. I love the stud detailing as I thinks it makes them quite different, and I also love how they're pretty comfy.

So that is it for my recent purchases. I hope you enjoyed this post and found it interesting! Let me know if you have picked up some things recently, or just leave a comment down below as I love reading what you guy's think.

A New Name!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are well today!
As you may have noticed, I have decided to change the name of my blog to 'a Touch of Beauty'. After having my blog for 7 months, I have began to feel like the old name 'Stylish Beauty' wasn't showing what my blog was about. I also felt that some people may get the wrong idea of how I want people to think about my blog.
So I have now got the name'a Touch of Beauty', which I think is a much more concise and appropriate name for my blog, and with the web address being
Obviously no longer having the name'Stylish Beauty' is going to be very weird, but I'm hoping with a new year, the new name will become normal and what you and I relate to my blog as.

I have loved blogging for the past 7 months and do not intend to stop. The support I have been given has been amazing, and I want to thank you all for your kind words.

Please let me know what you think of the new name as I love hearing your feedback!

Thank you so much,

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Liner 'Nude'!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well.
With exams and coursework taking a toll on my tiredness and stress levels, I thought it would be a good idea to purchase the Rimmel Scandal Eyes Waterproof Kohl Liner in 'Nude'. I had already heard really great things about these liners, and that the 'Nude' colour really helps to brighten tired eyes. I have been using this now for about a week and am super pleased with the results...
As you can see from this photo, the liner is noticeable on the waterline. However, I think it makes my eyes look more awake and fresher, which is perfect for those Monday mornings.
I also find this liner so creamy and easy to apply, which is really great as I do have quite sensitive eyes. Despite it being very creamy though, it does last all day which is a massive bonus.

I am really tempted to purchase more colours from this line as I think this liner is amazing! For £3.99 I don't think you can go wrong, and with a selection of colours I am sure these is one for every occasion.

Let me know if you have tried these liners and what you think of them! Or just leave a comment down below as I love to hear what you guys think.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and thank you for reading,

Mac Costa Chic Lipstick!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you have all had a great week!
For my birthday, I very kindly received Mac's Costa Chic lipstick, which I was very excited about as it looks like an amazing bright, coral colour which I adore in the summer.
The lipstick is a frost finish, and so it has a pearlescent sheen to it which I think is really nice.
The colour is bright, but I think it is stunning! It is not for everyday, and not every clothing piece goes with it, but on days when you do want a 'wow' lipstick, I think this is perfect.
I do have fair skin, but I personally still really like it. I also think it would suit many different skin tones.
The formula is really good, and it lasts quite a long time. You do have to be careful when applying and reapplying it, and so if you did want to achieve the perfect finish with this, a lipliner may be needed.
I can see myself wearing this lipstick so much throughout spring and summer as I just love the coral colours that come out.

Let me know if you have this lipstick and what you think of it, or just leave a comment down below as I love to hear what you guys think!

I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful.
Thank you as always for reading,

January Favourites!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you're all well! I feel like I haven't done a favourites post in ages and although I don't have too many things to show you today, I am nonetheless very excited.
I got quite a few things for my birthday which I am really looking forward to showing you but as I have only just started using them I still need some time to see what I think!

Now onto my favourites...

Sigma F50 Duo Fibre Brush - Now I am going to completely contradict myself here because this brush I did get for my birthday. However, after using this several times I am safe to say that I am in LOVE with this brush. It does an amazing job at evenly applying your foundation, and I love how it feels like it's giving you a sheer coverage, when in fact it makes your foundation look flawless.

Benefit Fine One One - This is a new product out from Benefit and when I was looking around the store I wasn't intending on purchasing it. However, I fell in love with the fresh glow it gives your cheeks whilst still looking really natural. It is super easy to apply and I can't wait to wear this more throughout the Spring and Summer.

No7 Beautiful Skin Exfoliator - I have already done a review on this (post HERE), but I couldn't not mention it in my January favourites. I love to use this 2-3 times a week to help purify and clean my face. I think it helps make a difference to the breakouts on my skin, and am definitely going to repurchase this in the future.

Nivea Lip Balm - Onto a not so exciting product, but I had to mention this product as it has really helped save my lips from this cold and windy weather. I use this before I go to bed and it really helps to smooth and soften my lips. Plus it is only £1.99!

So that is it for my January favourites, I really hope you enjoyed this post!
Let me know what your favourites are as I love to see what you guys think.
