Going for the Wing | Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in 'Violet Ink 4'!

Hello everyone,
I hope you have all had a great week!
After my exams finally finished I treated myself to a Bobbi Brown makeover. I personally love Bobbi Brown, with their corrector and BB cream being some of my favourite products.
I asked the lady to do a potential prom makeup look on me, and luckily, it came out just as I wanted, and so treated myself to some of the products she used on me.
One of the products was their Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in 'Violet Ink 4', and so today I thought I would share with you how I have been wearing it.

Firstly, the packaging of this is beautiful. A lovely glass jar, although not the most practical, does make this product feel quite luxury.
The colour 'Violet Ink' is a gorgeous deep purple colour. It is only until you get close up to the eye can you see it is a purple colour.

So the lovely lady at the Bobbi Brown counter did a slight flick with the eyeliner for my prom makeup, and as I complete newbie to gel eyeliner, I have been practicing to try and get the knack of it. So as you can tell I am by no means an expert at doing a winged liner, but hopefully you can see the sort of colour and effect the colour 'Violet Ink' gives you.
I personally love it as an alternative to black, and it'll look particularly good if you have brown, hazel or green eyes.

Formula wise, the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner is amazing. It is so smooth and easy to apply (I like applying it with the Real Techniques Fine Liner brush), and is very long lasting. On me I find it to last the whole day without transferring or smudging.

Although on the pricey side, if you love a gel eyeliner or want something easy and reliable if you're a newbie then I would highly suggest trying the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner.

Let me know if you have tried any of the Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliners!
And let me know if you would like to see the other products which I picked up at the 'makeover'.

So I really hope you enjoyed today's post, and if GFC does go tomorrow please follow me on Bloglovin' so you are kept up to date with my posts.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24hr Cream Gel Eyeshadow in 'On and On Bronze'

Hello everyone,
Happy Friday!
With my exams finally finishing on Tuesday, I am now free for the Summer and will be doing more regular posts. I am sorry about the lack of posts over the last couple of months but I promise they will now be a lot more regular :)

Today though I wanted to talk about the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'On and On Bronze' (a.k.a 'Bad to the Bronze').
I know that I am incredibly late with this one but as a complete eyeshadow newbie, I thought that a long wear cream eyeshadow would be perfect for getting into eyeshadow.
So the colour 'On and On Bronze' is a beautiful light bronze colour with golden shimmer in it, so perfect for a light everyday colour, or with a darker crease colour, perfect for the evenings or a night out.
It gives a lovely sheer wash of colour which I love for everyday. It is not too dramatic but can be easily built up if you want more colour.
They do set quite quickly though so you have to work with them quickly.

Formula-wise, I think it is amazing.
The cream eyeshadow is very smooth and applies really nicely. Because it does set so quickly, it lasts all day and never creases, which is really impressive for me because I do have quite oily eyelids.

On the whole, I am really impressed with the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in 'On and On Bronze'.
For £4.99 I think it is a great bargain as it is a beautiful colour, lasts all day and is super quick and easy to apply.

Have you tried the Maybelline Colour Tattoos?
If so please leave a comment down below!

Essie Mint Candy Apple Nail Polish!

 Hello everyone,
Happy Sunday!
Today I wanted to do a post about Essie's Mint Candy Apple nail polish.
I know that last summer everyone was talking about this colour, and although I have had it since last August, I've never actually done a full post dedicated to it.

Like many people, I love this colour. It is so pretty and perfect for Spring/Summer.
It is a very blue mint, which I really love, and so it looks so nice on all skintones. It can also really enhance a tan, so perfect if you're on holiday!
I really like the formula of this. It has a very wide brush which makes it really easy and quick when applying, and on me it can last 4 days without a topcoat before it begins to chip.

Do you have Essie's Mint Candy Apple nail polish?
If so please leave a comment down below!

I also wanted to quickly add, I have heard that the GFC (Google Friend Connect) gadget will be removed from blogs after the 1st of July. Although I am not 100% sure if this is definitely going to happen, if it does but you would still like to stay updated with my blog posts, then you can easily follow me on Bloglovin'. If you're not already following me on Bloglovin' but would like to stay updated with my blog posts, it would be really appreciated if you either click the small pink gadget that says 'Bloglovin' to the right side of the screen, or click HERE to follow me. Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette!

Hello everyone,
I hope you're all well!
The other day I finally caved and treated myself to the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette.
I had been eyeing this up for the longest time, as although I am not really an eyeshadow wearer, I thought the Naked Basics palette would be the perfect place to start my little eyeshadow collection.
With 5 matte colours and 1 satin, all neutrals, I thought it would be perfect for any eyeshadow newbie like myself.
So the 5 colours you get are (L to R): Venus - an off-white satin shade, Foxy - a matte cream shade, Walk of Shame - a light nude matte, Naked 2 -  a matte cool toned taupe, Faint - a matte dark brown and Crave - a deep matte brown/black.
From Left to Right - Walk of Shame, Foxy, Venus.
From Left to Right - Naked 2, Faint, Crave
For me, I love all of the colours. I do think Venus, Foxy and W.O.S are quite similar, but with Venus being a satin and Foxy having a yellow undertone compared to W.O.S which has more of a pink undertone, they all do look slightly different on the lid. I love these colours as an all-over the lid shade, or as a highlight.
I love Naked 2 as an everyday shade to slightly deepen up the crease and add more dimension. I have also found it to be a great eyebrow shade for softly filling in the odd sparse bit. Faint is a beautiful dark, chocolate brown, which I think looks gorgeous when used on the crease or as an everyday liner shade. Lastly, Crave would be amazing for a dark smokey eye, but I also love it for a natural liner, as it can be blended out which is really nice for everyday.

The quality of these eyeshadows is incredible.
I find them to be non-chalky and very smooth and easy to apply. They last all day on me, and bearing in mind I do have oily eyelids.
They can be really packed on with a damp eyeshadow brush to be more intense, or really sheared out (like above) for a more natural look.

I am so happy with the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette, and can see myself using it on a daily basis.
I purchased it for £18 from Debenhams as they were having a 10% off sale on the day, which I don't think is bad at all as it makes each shadow £3 each.

Have you tried the Urban Decay Naked Basics palette?

Clarins BB Skin Perfecting Cream First Impressions!

Hello everyone,
I hope you're all well!
Today I wanted to do a first impressions on the Clarins BB Skin Perfecting cream. I got a sample of this a while ago in a magazine, and so thought I would test it out to see what I thought of it.
This is a first impressions post simply because the sample shade was 'Medium' which unfortunately was too dark for me, and so I didn't wear it for the full day. However, after applying it, I did have a few thought which I wanted to share with you guys.

I really liked how the BB cream evened out my skin, and helped to reduce the redness slightly. I found it to blend nicely into the skin and despite the dark colour, it was surprisingly quite forgiving when it came to the colour.
I also felt that it didn't feel too greasy. As with most BB creams, they are usually quite glowy, but I felt with the Clarins it still gave my skin a glow, but it wasn't too greasy or shiny. I do have oily skin, so to make sure it lasted throughout the day I would definitely still powder.

Although I didn't wear it for the whole day or for several weeks, I was still surprised with the Clarins BB cream. I felt it offered good coverage whilst still feeling light on the skin. I think the finish wasn't overly dewy or glowy, and so may also suit people with the more oiler skin, as long as it is set with powder.
I am unsure about how light the lightest shade goes and vice versa with the darkest shade, but the BB cream does come in 3 shades: 'Light', 'Medium' and 'Dark', and retails for £28.

Have you have tried the Clarins BB Skin Perfecting cream?
If so please leave a comment down below telling me what you think of it!

I also wanted to quickly mention that yesterday was the 1st birthday of my little blog.
A year ago yesterday I very nervously wrote my first post. But I did just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has followed and supported me and my blog over the last year. It really has meant a lot to me, and hopefully this is only just the beginning of blogging for me!

So I really hope you enjoyed the first impressions post, and I hope you found it helpful. Please leave a comment down below as I love hearing what you guys think!

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in '15'!

Hello everyone,
Happy Sunday!
Today I wanted to rave about a new product I have been loving over the past 2 weeks. It is the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, which I know has been out for a while, but I still thought I would share with you what I think about it.
I picked up the shade '15', which is a light, yellow toned shade. In store, I was debating for ages whether to get shade '10' or '15', but in the end I went for '15', and luckily it is a great match.
I bought this to use mainly under my eyes, and the first thing that made me love this product was the blendability. It is so blendable and makes light work of concealing my dark circles of a morning.
The concealer does a good job on correcting the darkness and instantly making me look more awake. What I love most about this, is that not only does it help correct the darkness, but it also helps to brighten my under eyes.
I was surprised with the amount of coverage it provided me, especially as I was comparing it to the trusty, high coverage Collection Lasting Perfection concealer.
To me it does feel a lot lighter than the Collection concealer, and I find it isn't as drying or as matte in finish, which is why I have been using the Maybelline Fit Me for under my eyes, then the Collection Lasting Perfection concealer on any blemishes, as it does provide slightly more coverage.
Longevity wise, the Maybelline lasts really well on me but I do have to set it with powder to prevent creasing.

After using this concealer non-stop for 2 weeks, I highly recommend it, especially for £5.99.
It is blendable, long-lasting and provides medium coverage, without being too drying or cakey.

Have you tried the Maybelline Fit Me concealer?

May Favourites!

Hello everyone,
So seeing as we are already half way through the year, I though it was a good time to do my May favourites.
Due to my exams and the fact that I just seem to revise all day, there aren't too many products I have discovered throughout May.
However, the few that I have discovered, I absolutely love.

OPI Mini Euro Centrale Collection in 'You're Such a Budapest' and 'Suzi's Hungary Again!'
So as I am sure you all know, I am currently obsessed with my mini OPI collection. The two colours I have been loving are 'You're Such a Budapest', which is a beautiful periwinkle lilac colour, and 'Suzi's Hungary Again!', which is an amazing neon pink. The quality of these polishes is amazing and the colours are so perfect for Spring and Summer. I have done blog posts on both of these colours (HERE and HERE) if you want to know more about them.

Benefit They're Real Mascara
I got a mini size of the Benefit They're Real mascara in this months Elle issue. It really is an amazing mascara which I love. It gives incredible length and volume, whilst also giving your lashes a slight lift. In my previous post I did a full review of this mascara if you want to know more about it.

Maybelline Fit Me Concealer
Although this is quite a recent purchase of mine, I have been wearing the Maybelline Fit Me concealer over the past week and have fallen in love. It looks very natural and is quite moisturising so never looks cakey. It provides pretty good coverage and lasts most of the day. I will though do a full review very soon.

So that is it for my May favourites. I am sorry there were only a few products but I really haven't been able to go out much because of exams etc.
Let me know what products you have been loving throughout May as I am always keen to try new things :)

I really hope you enjoyed today's post and found it helpful. Please leave a comment down below as I love hearing what you guys think!
