Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in 'Native'

Hello everyone,
Happy Saturday!
Today I wanted to share with a very exciting purchase of mine that I made during my trip to London.
I have heard many good things about the new Urban Decay Revolution Lipsticks, and as a lip junkie I really wanted to try them out. The shade I got was 'Native', which is a gorgeous everyday pale pink. I am always on the look out for easy to wear pinky colours and so was super excited to try out the UD lipstick properly.
When I first saw the lipsticks I was really impressed with the packaging. I personally love the sleek tube with the 'Urban Decay' and 'UD' engraving.

For me, the shade 'Native' is my perfect everyday pink shade. It is neither too light or too dark, too warm or too cool, it is pretty much spot on. I always think this shade would suit most skintones, as it is such an easy colour to wear. The lipstick is also really pigmented - one swipe on your lips and you're done.
The formula of these is also right up my street - creamy and moisturising whilst also being relatively long lasting.
The finish is really nice and glossy and because of it's creamy formula, the texture is quite thick, but I personally like that.
The lipstick is really easy to apply and doesn't really have a scent, which I prefer.
The only downside I would say is that the longevity isn't the best, but considering it's creamy formula I don't think it is that bad.

On the whole I am so impressed with this lipstick, and am very tempted to pick up a couple more shades. For £15 I think the new Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks are excellent.
The pigmentation, texture and colours I think are all very impressive, and I would highly urge you to pick up one for your own.

Have you tried the new Urban Decay Revolution lipsticks?

A London Shopping Outfit | The Floral Shorts

Hello everyone,
I hope you're all well!
Today I want to share with you another OOTD that I wore whilst my mum and I were in London shopping. This is a really easy and comfy outfit that hopefully may give you some inspiration.

The main part of my outfit which I am most excited about are my new Zara shorts. I spotted these whilst in London and fell in love. They are so soft and comfy, and have this beautiful floral pattern on them. I also love the dark purple and olive green colours, and the lace detailing on the hem.
The top that I am wearing is my off white top from H&M that has lace detailing on the side of the sleeves and either side of the top. I love this top so much as it is so versatile and goes with anything.
For jewelry I wore my silver necklace from Brandy Melville which I also picked up whilst in London, and my Accurist watch, and my sunglasses I wore are from Topshop.
My bag is old satchel from New Look, and I of course wore my white Converse for comfort.

So that is my super easy and comfy OOTD for a shopping day in London.
I really hope you liked this post and maybe got some inspiration for an outfit of your own.
I also wanted to quickly say sorry for the lack of posting and general MIA over the past week, but I am now back to posting hopefully on a regular basis :)

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray!

Hello everyone,
After picking up this months issue of Elle magazine after being lured in by the 50ml bottle of the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray that came with it, I thought I would share my thoughts on the cult classic.

Bumble and Bumble claim that this product will give you the 'ultimate blow dry' by being used on wet hair before blow drying, or it will give you a 'set-ready finish' after being used on already styled hair.
Intrigued by the words 'ultimate blow dry', shortly after washing my hair and using heat protectant, I spritzed this product throughout my hair, focusing mainly on the roots in the thought of it giving my hair volume. I then blow dried my hair as usual.
The finished result? My hair was left smooth with no frizz, which is what I love. I can't say that I noticed that much added volume or thickness to my hair which was a bit disappointing, but I was very happy with the sleek and smoothness of my hair.
I also found that it held the styling of my hair for a couple of days before it was ready to be washed again, which is really helpful as it means I don't have to go back in with straighteners the following day. I also felt that it didn't weigh my hair down, nor did it feel like there was a lot of product in it.

Overall I am very glad I tried this product. Although it didn't live up to my expectations in the volume and thickening category, it did pleasantly surprise me with it's smoothing abilities. My hair was left unfrizzy with no fly aways, and very manageable.

Have you tried the Bumble and Bumble Thickening Hairspray?
If so, please leave a comment down below!

I hope you found this review helpful, and thank you for reading.

Zara Wishlist!

Hello everyone,
Happy Sunday!
I realised it had been quite a while since my last wishlist, and as I spent hours yesterday browsing the Zara website and finding many things that would make my purse sigh, I thought I would do a Zara wishlist.
I love Zara as their mix of simple pieces along with floral items and more edgy items sum up my style quite nicely.
They have some really nice jumpers which would be perfect as we approach the Autumn, and their leggings with faux leather down the sides also look like a really key Autumn piece. They also have some really lovely tops, and as soon as I saw the floral blouse with the peter pan collar, I fell in love. I also love the photo print t-shirt if you were going for a monochrome look.
I think one of my favourite things about Zara are their accessories. I love them so much, and thought that the mini office city bag in burgundy would be beyond perfect for weekends during the Autumn. I also really love their ankle boots, and thought the buckling on the ones I have included in my wishlist add a more edgy vibe to them.

So as you can tell I am lusting over many items in Zara. Although I am sure I won't be purchasing all of these items, I definitely will have my eyes on the look out when I next go to a Zara, (which I am sure will be quite soon!).

I really hope you enjoyed today's wishlist, and that perhaps you got some ideas or inspiration for outfits.

Maybelline One by One Volum' Express Mascara!

Hello everyone,
Happy Friday!
Today I want to share with you a new mascara that I picked up whilst in Switzerland.
It is the Maybelline One by One Volum' Express Mascara. This is my first Maybelline mascara and I had always heard so many people rave about Maybelline mascaras, and so I was looking forward to seeing if it lived up to the hype.
The brush on this mascara is plastic, which I am usually not a massive fan of but I find this brush really grips the lashes.
I don't find it to be not too big, and I also find that it doesn't hold too much mascara on it, making application easy.

My eye lashes are normally quite straight and short, but I find this mascara to give a good mix of length and volume to my lashes.
It isn't the most dramatic mascara, but it is really nice for everyday.
It lengthens and separates my lashes, whilst also adding volume.
I find the mascara easy to apply, but you do have to be careful as it can go quite clumpy.
It does though last really well throughout the day, even in warm temperatures.

Overall I would recommend this mascara. It gives nice length and volume to my lashes, and lasts really well throughout the day.

Let me know if you have tried the Maybelline One by One Volum' Express Mascara and what you thought of it!

Questions from Monica
1. Eyeliner or Mascara?
2. In reality, do you wear makeup everyday?
I do as I always wear concealer under my eyes at least, unless I am really poorly and am in bed all day.
3. Are you persuing a career in the beauty industry? Or something completely different?
At the moment I am still technically in school as I will be going to college to do my A-levels, but I am one of those people who like to have every part of their life planned, and so I would love to pursue a career in the beauty industry like in PR or marketing or something like that :)
4. If you could be a celebrity for the day, who would you pick?
I'm not too sure, maybe Beyonce?

Well as I live in the UK, we don't have access to either Ulta or Sephora, but I have been in Sephora in New York so I would have to say Sephora.
6. What is your favorite lipstick color?
I don't have an exact name of a colour, but I love light corals, peaches or pinks.
7. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to go to California and visit loads of places there.
8. Bright wardrobe or Neutrals?
Probably neutrals as I prefer accessorizing with brighter colours or wearing a really bright, bold lip colour to brighten up a neutral outfit.

10. What is your favorite brand of clothing?
I don't really have a favourite brand, but I do love Zara and Topshop.

An Evening Outfit | Lace and Floral

Hello everyone,
Happy Saturday!
Today I wanted to share with you another OOTD post from an evening during our holiday in Switzerland.
I do want to apologize for the lighting and quality of these pictures, but I do still hope you can sort of get an impression of the outfit.
It was so hot in Switzerland when we were there and so I tried to keep what I was wearing quite light.

So the off-white top which I actually got in Switzerland whilst I was there is from H&M. I am really obsessed with this top as it is lightweight and has beautiful lace detailing on the short sleeves and at either side of the top. It can be dressed up or down and so is really versatile.
My skirt is an old one from Oasis that I got last year but I do really love it as I think it makes quite a nice statement without being too out there. It is a peachy pink shade with a really pretty floral pattern.
For my shoes I wore my wedged sandals from Next which I did get quite recently however I cannot seem to find them on their website. Being tall I tend to stay away from heels, but these are only 1 inch and so are really comfy and easy to walk in, and don't add too much height. They are a nude colour so go with anything and have stud detailing on the straps.
For my bag I used my bright fuschia colour Michael Kors clutch bag. I got this very kindly for my birthday this year and love it so much. It really brightens up any outfit and is a really convenient size for a meal or night out.
For jewellery I wore a necklace from Topshop which I got last christmas and my watch from Accurist.

I really hope you enjoyed this post, and hopefully it perhaps gave you some inspiration or ideas for an evening outfit.
Please leave a comment down below as I love hearing what you think.

No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream for Normal/Oily Skin!

Hello everyone,
I hope you're all well.
Writing this I feel like I haven't written a post in ages, as over the last week and a half I have been on holiday in Switzerland with my family. It was a lovely holiday and Switzerland really is a beautiful place which I will always love visiting, and if you would like to see a few pictures from the holiday please let me know down below as I would be happy to share them with you guys.
Before I went away I did draft a few posts beforehand so that whilst I was away I did have something to publish, and so I hope you guys enjoyed the ones I did.

That said today I would like to share with you the No7 Beautiful Skin Night Cream for normal/oily skin. I have already done a review on the day cream from the same No7 line so if you would like to see that please click here
I have been using the night cream now for a couple of weeks and so I think it is about time I give you guys my verdict.

I used to always think of night creams as being really thick and heavy, and so unsuitable for my oily/blemish prone skin, however, upon the first application of this cream I was pleasantly surprised by how light it felt on my skin.
The texture is almost gel-like, and so practically feels weightless which is perfect for us oily-skin gals.
I find it to control the oil and not leave any residue on my skin, which is really nice for the evenings.
Although it is very lightweight and mattifying, I also find it to provide my skin with enough hydration for the evenings, which is really good as I hate mattifying moisturisers which still leave your skin feeling tight.
Spot-wise this cream hasn't broken me out at all. Even though I do still have some blemishes, I think in general my skin looks clearer and healthier since I started using the night cream along with the day cream.

All in all I really do love this night cream as it controls the oil, feels super light and also provides moisture.
At £13.50 it isn't the cheapest, but a little does go a long way.

Have you tried any products from the No7 skincare line?

I really hope you found this review helpful, and thank you for reading.
