September Favourites!

Hello everyone,
Today I wanted to share with you my September favourites.
As September as been quite a crazy month, I have leaned back on some old favourites of mine, and rediscovered some products which I am super impressed with.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Crush'
As the weather got quite a lot colder during the middle of September, I began to feel very Autumnal and so I whipped out this lip stain from Revlon. It is a gorgeous deep pinky purple colour which I mentioned in this post here. The formula of these I think is okay, maybe a touch drying, but on the whole I would really recommend these.

Mac Lipstick in 'A Perfect Day'
I received this lipstick for my birthday from my very good friend Ella, but recently I have been obsessed with it. It is a really lovely nude colour which when patted into the lips looks super pretty. I have also talked about this lipstick here.

Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation in 'Vanilla'
I have always loved this foundation, but recently I have been using it most days for college. I find that it looks so natural and light yet still provides me with decent coverage. Also, despite being a lightweight, dewy foundation, its longevity is actually really good.

Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette
This palette I am obsessed with. I have already mentioned it numerous times on my blog, but this month I have been reaching for it quite a bit. With a short space of time to get ready in the mornings for college, I like to either blend the colour 'Naked 2' all over my eye and into my crease, or lightly line my upper lash line with the colour 'Crave' or 'Faint'. You can find more swatches of the palette here

Bobbi Brown Blush in 'Pale Pink'
Although this blush looks terrifying in the pan, once a small amount has been applied to the cheeks it looks gorgeous. I find this blush gives you an almost innocent flush of colour which looks super pretty. The formula is also really nice, and I don't think anyone can fault the pigmentation of this blush. You can see more swatches of it here

So they are my September favourites.
As you can see, mostly I have rediscovered or carried on loving products, but there has been a new discovery here and there which I love.

Tell me what are your September favourites?

I hope you enjoyed this post, and thank you for reading,

The Autumn Tag!

Hello everyone,
As we are now into Autumn/Fall, I thought I would do the Autumn tag.
I love Autumn, and was really excited when Lizzy, Amber and Brittany tagged me to do the Autumn tag. So thank you so much to you guys for tagging me :)
With that said, lets get on with the questions.

Favourite thing about Autumn?
After Summer, I am pretty bored with the long days and so for me I love how it gets darker in the evening. I also love the fashion and beauty that are released around Autumn, especially as I love thick, cosy jumpers, and the darker colours.

Favourite drink?
I love hot chocolate, especially on a cold day.

Favourite scent/candle?
I don't really know as I don't tend to burn candles, but I do love a slightly heavier scent in Autumn.

Favourite lipstick?
Probably the Revlon Just Kitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Crush' which I featured in my last post here. I love the deep pinky purple colour which I think is perfect for Autumn.

Go to moisturiser?
I don't really know as I tend to stick with the same moisturiser all year round. However, I do love the Laura Mercier Body Souffle Cream in 'Ambre Vanille' as it is really moisturising and it has beautiful sweet scent which is still quite sophisticated.

Go to colours for the eyes?
As I am a neutral kinda gal, I think in Autumn warmer neutral shades are really nice. So for example ambers and warm golds I think look really pretty.

Favourite music or band/singer to listen to?
I don't really have a favourite Autumn band or singer.

Favourite outfit to wear?
My Chelsea boots with thick leggings and a really cosy jumper with a statement necklace.

Autumn treat?
I love buying jumpers and coats in Autumn, so maybe the Zara parka? Or any new beauty collections that are released for Autumn, like the new NARS eyeshadow palettes, and in particular the Ride Me To The Moon palette.

Favourite place to be?
I would say curled up on the sofa watching Friends eating a homemade chocolate brownie with ice cream, perfect.

So that is the Autumn tag.
I tag anyone to do this and if you do decide to do it, please leave a link down below so I can read your answers as I absolutely love this tag.

I really hope you enjoyed this post, and thank you for reading.

Autumn Makeup | The Dark Lip

Hello everyone,
Today I wanted to share with you another face of the day, especially as I was feeling very Autumnal today.
I really wanted to wear a darker lip and leave the face quite clean and fresh. I also threw on a dark purple jumper and kept my hair out of my face with a dark purple clip...I am really feeling the Autumn today.

To start off with I used a tiny amount of the Bobbi Brown BB cream just in the areas where I wanted a touch of coverage. Being ill with a cold and sore throat, by skin has been feeling really dehydrated and so I used the BB cream as it is quite moisturising without being greasy.
To cover up dark circles I used my NARS Radiant Creamy concealer, and I then set that I a dusting of the Rimmel Stay Matte powder.
For my eyes, I lightly lined my upper lash line with the shade 'Faint' which is a dark brown for the UD Naked Basics palette. I then highlighted my inner corner and brow bone with 'Venus' which is from the same palette. I added a touch of mascara using the L'Oreal False Lash Telescopic.
To add some colour to my face, I once again used my favourite blush which is the NARS 'Deep Throat' blush. This blusher is great for added a beautiful rosy glow to your face without looking over the top.
Lastly, the lips. I used my Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 'Crush', which is a gorgeous deep pinky plum shade so perfect for this time of year.

So that is my Autumn makeup. I personally love this kind of look and think that anybody can pull it off!

I hope you enjoyed this post and hopefully you got some inspiration from it.

Bobbi Brown Lip Balm SPF 15!

Hello everyone,
Today I wanted to share with you the Bobbi Brown Lip Balm that I picked up at the end of summer whilst in London.
I had been interested in this product for a while after the Bobbi Brown makeup artist used it on me when I went for my BB makeover. I felt like it prolonged the longevity of the lipstick and kept my lips feeling and looking moisturised.
The lip balm comes in this really beautiful metal tin which to me is quite old school, and the product itself although looks slightly pink in the tin, is actually clear once applied.

Bobbi Brown claim that this is a 'comfortable, non-greasy lip balm' that 'immediately goes to work comforting and protecting lips'.
I definitely agree this lip balm is non-greasy which is really nice as it makes it feel very light on the lips. I also find it to be non-sticky, as it has a super smooth texture.
As I do have really dry lips, I like to wear this underneath my lipstick or lipgloss to try and moisturise my lips as much as possible. I do find that it does an okay job of moisturising my lips, but throughout the day I have found that my lips do still get the odd dry patch.
However, because this lipbalm also works as a primer, I do find any lip product I put on top of it goes on really easily and smoothly. I would also say the lip balm prolongs the longevity of any lip product I put over it.

On the whole I am slightly disappointed with the moisturising abilities of this lipbalm as I was expecting it to do a better job. However, I do think the more I use it the more the texture will soften, which may help to moisturise my lips.
I do like the fact it is non-greasy and non-sticky, and acts as a primer for your lipstick.
I have also found it to be really good over the top of a more drying lip product as it is clear and has an almost 'matte' finish.

It is a treat as I usually would never spend a lot on a lipbalm, but if you are a lip junkie like myself or find matte lipsticks to be too drying for you, I would recommend giving it ago.

Let me know if you have tried the Bobbi Brown Lip Balm by leaving a comment down below!

Bobbi Brown Blush in 'Pale Pink'

Hello everyone,
Today I wanted to do a review with a new blush which I am obsessed with - It is the Bobbi Brown blush in 'Pale Pink'.
I had been eyeing this up for a couple of months now and finally caved whilst in London on a short getaway, and after using it non-stop, I am looking forward to sharing my thoughts with you.
Now although this blush is called 'Pale Pink', this blush isn't exactly pale. It is a super bright pink which when swatched, looks very daunting.
However, when a small amount is blended onto the apples of your cheeks, it is so pretty as it turns into a gorgeous pale pink colour which actually looks really natural, as if you're naturally flushing.
It is also highly pigmented so a little really does go a long way, but because it is so pigmented it can be quite hard to apply. I have had incidents when I've applied quite a lot so definitely apply a small amount and then build it up to your preferred intensity.
The quality is also very good as it lasts really well throughout the day, and the packaging is super sleek and small so perfect for travelling.

Overall I would highly recommend the Bobbi Brown blushes and this colour in particular.
It is super pretty and looks really natural once applied and blended, despite it looking very daunting in the pan.

Have you tried the Bobbi Brown blushes?
If so please leave a comment down below!

NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in 'Vanilla'

Hello everyone
Happy Friday!
Today I wanted to do a review on the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer, a product very much so hyped up currently in the blogosphere.
I was super excited to try this out after hearing so many good things about it, and after using it non-stop for a week, I would like to give you my verdict.

The shade I have is 'Vanilla' which is a great shade for my fair skin, and I think particularly good for during the Winter when I am without a tan.
This concealer does a great job of concealing and correcting the terrible darkness underneath my eyes. I also find it to look super natural whilst also providing medium coverage.
The texture is very creamy whilst the consistency is very thick, but once blended it doesn't feel or look heavy or cakey.
Once set with a touch of powder, I also find the concealer to barely crease, and I find the longevity of the product to also be very good.
I also love the packaging. I think it looks super sleek and expensive.

For £21 I would say it is an expensive product, but is a very nice treat as it is a very good concealer. I love the coverage, finish and packaging of the product, and think it would work for most people.
Although I do really like this, I do also really like the Maybelline Fit Me concealer, and would say they are quite similar. The only this which is completely different is the consistency - the NARS is very thick and creamy, the Maybelline is a lot thinner and lighter. However I would highly recommend both concealers, it does though just depend on what you prefer.

Let me know if you have tried the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer and what you thought of it!

Ecotools Bamboo Powder Brush!

 Hello everyone,
Today I wanted to share with you a new brush I have been loving to use to apply my powder - the Ecotools Bamboo Powder brush. I was drawn to this because of its practical size and shape, and of course the super soft looking hairs.
As my first Ecotools brush I was curious to see how it would compare to my much loved Real Technique brushes, but luckily, it hasn't disappointed.

Firstly, the brush is so soft and applies powder like a dream. It doesn't make your powder too heavy or cakey, but puts enough on so that it still controls the oils on my t-zone.
The size and shape is also really nice, and so I find applying powder to be a 2 second job - perfect for those early morning days when I'm rushing to apply my makeup.
So far it hasn't shed on me which is another bonus, and so for £9.99 from Boots, I think this is a great powder brush that I would highly recommend.

As an Ecotools newbie, I am pleasantly surprised by the high quality of this brush. Although this is my only brush from them, I would still definitely consider purchasing more from the brand.

Have you tired any of the Ecotools brushes?

I really hope you found this review helpful, and thank you for reading.

August Favourites!

 Hello everyone,
Today I wanted to share with you my August favourites.
Once again I still am not sure where this month has gone, and as August was quite a jam packed month, I haven't got too many products to talk to you about. However, the few things I do have, I am very excited about!

Ted Baker Butterfly Wings Body Spray
First up is a new body spray which I have been obsessed with. It is by Ted Baker and I picked it up from Boots for as little as £5.50. The scent is quite fresh and floral, so very girly. I think it makes the perfect day scent, but my only gripe is that it doesn't last that long on the skin. But apart from that I really recommend it.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick in 'Native'
After hearing so many amazing things about the new lipstick offerings from Urban Decay, I knew I had to pick one up. 'Native' is a gorgeous light pink colour which I think would go with most skintones. The formula of the lipstick is also really nice. I find it to be really creamy and moisturising, with a nice shiny finish. For swatches and a few more reasons for why I love it, I raved about it here

Maybelline One By One Volum' Express Mascara
I have also raved about this product here, but I had to include it in my monthly favourites as throughout August I reached for this mascara a fair bit. I find it gives just the right amount of length and volume to my lashes, especially for everyday. It isn't too clumpy, and it lasts throughout the day whilst not being impossible to remove at night. I am not too sure if they sell this in the UK, but I picked mine up whilst on holiday in Switzerland, so I would really recommend you to pick this product up if they sell it near you.

Ecotools Powder Brush
Although I picked this brush up throughout the later end of August, I have really been enjoying using it. It is so soft and applies powder so nicely. It hasn't shed yet, and so far, as my first brush from Ecotools, I am very impressed.

So they are my August favourites.
I really hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful.

Please let me know down below what you've been loving throughout August!
